Bicycle Maintenance Classes

Francis Tuttle Technology Center and More/Norman Technology Center offer a series of bicycle maintenance classes on a regular basis.  The current classes are scheduled as follows:

Francis Tuttle Technology Center 

Bicycle Service and Maintenance: Basic

Students will be able to replace tires and tubes, clean and oil the chain, and adjust brakes and derailleurs.

15 hours Tuesdays,  6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 01/10/17 thru 02/07/17

Advanced Bicycle Service and Maintenance

Technical skills covered in this course include the use of tools that are needed to overhaul a bicycle. Students will bring in their bike or their friend’s bike to overhaul loose or caged bearings in the headset, bottom bracket, front and rear wheels. Students will also perform routine maintenance and repairs on the bicycle. You may want to take the Basic Bicycle Service and Maintenance class first to learn additional skills such as how to tune-up a bicycle in detail and what to do and what to take on a bicycle in case you get stuck on the road.

15 hours Tuesdays,  6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 02/21/17 thru 03/21/17

Moore Norman Technology Center 

Basic Bicycle Service and Maintenance and Repair

Learn how to keep your bicycle running smoothly! Topics to be covered include: tire and tube installation and repair, chain maintenance, brake adjustment and maintenance, and adjusting and maintaining gears. 
15 hours Mondays,  6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 03/20/17 thru 04/17/17

Advanced Bicycle Service and Maintenance
 and Repair
